I am a science communicator with more than 15 years of experience connecting cutting-edge research with public engagement. With a strong scientific background and a passion for storytelling, I create accurate, accessible, and engaging content for audiences of all ages. I currently work as a science communicator for CNES at ISTerre (Grenoble, France), transforming complex research into visual narratives that inspire curiosity and connection.

I started my academic journey with a PhD in Geophysics at ETH Zurich (2004–2009). During this time, I had the chance to spend one year at the University of Leeds and four months at the Australian National University in Canberra, which gave me valuable international experience. Before that, I studied in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), where I obtained a Master’s degree in Geophysics and a Bachelor’s degree in Oceanography.

Currently, I am a science communicator at ISTerre (Grenoble, France), developing innovative ways to connect science with society. I was an invited researcher at GFZ Potsdam (Germany) for 1 year, and I worked as a postdoctoral researcher at LPG Nantes (France) for 2 years. Previously, I led a research group at the Observatório Nacional (Brazil) for 10 years.

I am actively engaged in international scientific activities. I serve as a Topic Editor for Frontiers in Earth Sciences and as a Guest Member of the IUGG Early Career Scientist Committee (2025–2027). I am also a member of the IUGG Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee, the IAGA Executive Committee, and the IAGA-ICEO (Interdivisional Commission on Education and Outreach) group.
My primary focus is creating video content that can be easily used on websites and social media channels. Recently, I have also expanded my work to include website creation, design, and content development.
