Open Science
My expertise in Open Science is shaped by hands-on experience across the research and publishing ecosystem. I currently serve as a Topic Editor at Frontiers in Earth Sciences, where I lead a Research Topic at the intersection of geoscience and society. In this role, I oversee the editorial process, working closely with authors, reviewers, and editors to ensure scientific quality, transparency, and societal relevance throughout peer review and publication.
Alongside my editorial work, I have an active background as a researcher, with publications in international peer-reviewed journals. This experience has given me a solid understanding of open-access publishing practices, including peer-review workflows, Article Processing Charge (APC) models, licensing options, and strategies for disseminating research to diverse audiences.
I continuously update and strengthen my expertise through targeted professional training, such as the course “A Practical Guide to Open Access in Science” offered by the Wiley Researcher Academy, allowing me to stay engaged with evolving practices and debates in Open Science.
